We had hoped for a lovely success. You gave us something far greater: a spontaneous, warm and profoundly human surge of solidarity that will remain etched in the memory of our community.
In barely one week, more than 600 kilograms of Parmesan — that gastronomic treasure of the Emilia-Romagna region — found their way into the hearts and homes of our colleagues. Behind every order is a colleague who chose to give, to share, to contribute to something bigger than themselves.
This is not something to take for granted. In a world where we often speak of disengagement and individualism, you have proven that the heart beats strong at the European Parliament. You have proven that we are, above all, a community.
Every single euro from this sale will be donated in full to the Cancer Support Group — a dedicated organisation that stands by colleagues and their families facing cancer, often during the most difficult moments of their lives.
Your generosity is tangible support. It is hope transmitted. It is a message sent to those going through the hardest of times: you are not alone, we are here.
